2006 / April 16th/ Can you tell
Along with Matt Brett I’ve been in somewhat of seclusion lately. Of course, it’s all due to working on projects. So, mostly because I’m bored, I decided to recap a bit of what I’m doing right now.
#1 - Total Spore
Total Spore is coming along nice. I’ve put up a placeholder page for now. I also decided to enter the CSS Reboot with this one, so it’ll be coming out May 1st for sure. This is a really cool project, and something I’ve had a lot of fun working on. Hopefully you’ll all be impressed with the final outcome :)
#2 - Adregate
Adregate is a fun project that I think will be very useful to a lot of webmasters out there. But hey, I’m not one to tease too much without something to show.. so I’ll make you wait a while before I disclose more about this one. Hopefully I’ll get some more free time and be able to get this thing out in the coming months.
#3 - Poetry with meaning
While adding some features in PWM, I simply couldn’t do what I envisioned with the current design. Combined with what I can only describe as growing distaste of what’s currently up there - PWM will be redesigned sometime soon. I’ve been working a bit on this one, and I think it’s coming along nicely. It’ll accompany a “2.0″ version of the site as well, encompassing a lot of features we’ve had people ask for and features that we think they’ll enjoy.

Just want to say, I am totally pumped about the spore site. I have been looking around desperately for more information on the game, which looks unbelievable, and now it seems you are providing a homebase for that info. Am I right, because that’d be great if I was.

Andy: Yep, that’s exactly what it will be. I know I’m going to be hopelessly addicted to this game… so, eh… why not share my addiction :) As far as Hemingway goes, eh, it’s kind of marinating right now for a while. There’s no major bugs standing, and my next few ideas for it are pretty big. I’d guess around summertime I’ll get back to it.

You sir, are guilty as charged! With good reason, though - that Spore site has me stoked! I don’t know how many times I watched that 30 minute demo video. I sat my 7 year-old daughter down and showed here. Basically just wanted her to see the first couple transformations, but she was totally into it and we watched the entire video together. That game is going to change everything… pun intended.
