2005 / August 12th/ Fuck you, Foo Fighters

Yesterday I bought In Your Honor because, well I used to like the Foo Fighters. Today I went to rip the CD to mp3 so I could use it as I use the rest of my music collection - play it on my computer, transfer to iPod, etc. Instead, the new Foo Fighters CD has copy-protection so my ripped MP3s sound like they’re skipping. Fuck you, Foo Fighters. Don’t punish the very people who are legally purchasing your music. Punish those who are illegally obtaining it. So fuck you ,Foo Fighters - I will never buy anything from you, or associated with you again.

I’m as disillusioned with their decision as well– it will certainly make me think twice about supporting them in the future. However, the CD I purchased up here in Canada doesn’t seem to have the same copy protection– I was about to rip to my iPod without problems.

I’d be happy to send you the ripped audio files, if you wish.

No, fuck you dude. Don’t blame the bandmembers for your shit. I’ve heard this everywhere i go. If you’re going to blame any1 blame the label or record company. I put both discs onto my ipod without any trouble at all. I don’t know what you people are doing wrong, but don’t blame the band members. Dave himself said he supported illegal downloading and all that.

I’m with PFG, it’s the labels decision to put the copy protection on it not the bands. Besides, obviously you’re into iTunes and iPods, just buy it from the iTunes Music Store. There is a completely simply way to get around the iTMS copy protection.

Don’t get me wrong though, if I bought a CD that did what yours is doing I’d be pissed too.

How’s that for playing both sides ;^)

Honestly, in my opinion I don’t care who put the copy protection on there. Bands do have a choice what label they go with, and quite frankly Dave Grohl could have chosen anyone in the universe. He could have started his own.

If you’re going to put out a CD, and the label puts copy protection on it without your discretion - sue the damn record company. I would.

Don’t worry about the Foo Fighters CD. Hold down a shift key while you close the CD tray.It won’t auto start then.

Next open your Media player and rip it to MP3.

Windows 2000 with Freerip works fine too.

Yah dude PFG is right, Dave did he say even downloads music illigaly off of programs like Winmx and Lw. So dont blame the fucking artists its Sonys stupid fault. Sony is just being another Nazi in the electronic world. I do however think The foos should get another record label cause dickheads like you are threatning never to buy there cd again. Daves richier then ur poor ass, your probably using the library computers u poor bitch.

Foo Fighters are dangerous propagandists! They support HIV denialism, essentially telling people to not take their medications.

hahaha, you are a fool, if some one like you purchased the CD and rip the MP3 onto the computer successfully, then some day these people decide to share it with other people, and that’s how piracy begins.

    illegal downloading

    April 5th | #

most people that download illegally will readily confess that they wouldn’t buy the songs their downloading . so who’s losing money??? nobody..i download illegally too!!

here’s the common sense— the killers cd= 8 dollars
i download the songs on the album using frostwire=free

    if i can’t find them i don’t have them cause i won’t buy them.

how the are they losing money caused by my actions??

anybody i’ve ever spoken to that download illegally tell me hte same thing..that they won’t buy the songs ..so they download them.

record companies are going by the notion that if the songs weren’t being downloaded illegally that those people would be buying the songs.

    NOT!!!
