2005 / September 3rd/ New Orleans
There are times when I am so appalled, so disgusted with our government that they can sit idly by and ignore the things that really matter it makes me want to vomit. Listen to the mayor of New Orleans plead for control over his dying city and just try and argue that something’s not fucked up in our government.
There is a man who loves his country. There is a man who knows what needs to be done, and is willing to sacrifice anything to do it (do you think he’ll have much of a political career after slandering the very people he needs to suck-up to?). I don’t want to hear any more bullshit from Bush until he figures out that there are people in need, in this very country and that it is indeed more important to save lives than it is to destroy them.
Edit: I think this article is worth a read, and just to note a few points:
- Bush finally visited New Orleans four days after the fact
- Bush claims that there are not enough resources in New Orleans. Bush claims that Iraq is not the reason why, and that we have plenty of resources available.
- Bush continually blames the “federal government” for not acting appropriately. Apparently, he is running a different country than I thought - last I checked he was leader of this “federal government” he speaks of.

found my way over to your site after many months absense… all I can say is “WELL SAID”. I’m so frustrated with this man and this administration.
Respectfully, a conservative republican who never has and never would vote bush.

did you ever stop to consider that Mayor Naglin might have not really wanted the Federal Government to help? with the premeditated intentions to make President Bush look bad in the upcoming election? sound far out? maybe, but don’t forget that if Mayor Naglin was so concerned with the well-being of his “chocolate city,” wouldn’t common sense have dictated that he order an evacuation much earlier than he did and later utilize the transportation resources that were offered to him in order to shuttle his “chocolate citizens” from such imminent danger? doesn’t sound so far out now, eh?

The coming election? You mean, the one where Bush will have already served his two terms and is no longer eligable for canidacy?
Right.
