2005 / November 13th/ Pink Week

A Pink Condom Today marks the start of the twelth annual weeklong celebration of the color Pink. Pink Week is not about sexual orientation, cancer, or anybody’s rights. It’s about Pink. Damnit, we need more holidays like this one. If you’re looking for more information about pink week, check out http://pinkweek.org/ and read up on it.

I first learned of this holiday while working at Tower Framing & Design Gallery back in Sacramento when we had a Pink Week show during November 2002. It was an extraordinary idea to me - a holdiay celebrating a color, for the colors sake.

So take a walk today and wear a pink shirt with a sense of pride. Celebrate Pink Week, for pink’s sake!
