2005 / July 19th/ Settling In
I changed around K2 a bit to fit my needs a bit more. I took a little of what I had from a previous design comp and slammed a few lines into k2scheme.css and away we are!
I have to give Michael credit; he’s made an amazingly flexible template. I think that’s what distinguishes Kubrick from most WP themes out there; it’s a template not a design. The mere fact that I was able to make these changes, on my lunch break while eating some pizza has to say something about the theme.
For those interested, this is all I changed in k2scheme.css:
.footnote{ color:#999999; margin:20px 0 10px 0; }
#header { background:url(/images/header.gif) no-repeat; }
#header p{ visibility:hidden; }
#header h1 a{display:block; width:500px; height:100px; text-indent:-9999px; text-decoration:none; }
body{ background:url(/images/body_background.gif); }
ul.menu li a:hover{ background:transparent; color:#006D9A; }
I won’t be fiddling around anymore with the current design of this site until I get the new one up and running. Which is, still in development of course.

Looking better I think.
I like the look of the new one that you have on the go as well. Looks like it is coming along nicely.
